Companion problems: grab the log file
Right-click the PugProof icon in your menu bar (Mac) or system tray (Windows) and choose Open log file. Copy the last 15 to 20 lines (anything mentioning "error" is gold) and paste them into the description above, or screenshot them and attach that below.
If the companion won't open at all, the file lives at ~/Library/Application Support/@pugproof/companion-desktop/companion.log on Mac, or %APPDATA%\@pugproof\companion-desktop\companion.log on Windows.
Addon problems: what to include
The addon has no log file, so three things do the job: a screenshot of what you saw (attach it below), the output of /pugproof status typed in chat, and roughly when it happened. If a red Lua error popped up, paste its text into the description.
If runs or ratings seem to be missing, mention the character and dungeon. Your captured run data sits in WTF/Account/<your account>/SavedVariables/PugProof.lua inside your WoW folder, in case we ask for it.
What makes a report fast to fix
